Pregnancy Massage is a splendid form of massage for the mother-to-be. I have a special cushion that will allow the expectant mother to lay face down in total comfort! Moms-to-be can really appreciate this in the last few months of pregnancy! I have certification in prenatal massage. Suitable after the first trimester of pregnancy.

Medical Massage (Trigger Point / Myofascial Release) utilizes massage and stretches that are specific to particular medical conditions. Chondromalacia Patellar (knee pain), carpal tunnel, sciatica are a few of the conditions that can be greatly improved by incorporating massage into the healing process. While a doctor’s diagnosis in naming your condition is helpful, no prescription is required. This is suitable for conditions that are beyond the acute phase.

Deep Swedish Massage
See Classic Swedish Massage, add deep pressure.

Myofascial Release is a form of deep tissue massage. The fascia is a thin layer that covers all muscle fibers. The theory is that a constriction in one place may cause problems not just locally but in a more distant part of the body. For example: a chronically shortened hamstring may be the cause of chronic backache. I usually combine MFR with trigger point therapy. Several sessions may be required to achieve the desired affect. Suitable for most people.

Sports Massage
Not only is this type of massage is suited for pre and post event purposes; sports- specific massage can give an edge in your training regimen. Stretches may be incorporated into the session for problem areas. You will be less susceptible to injury and recover more quickly from muscles soreness.
(Firm to Deep)
Trigger Point Therapy is a form of deep tissue massage. Deep pressure is applied
to the area of sensitivity or spasm (a trigger point) and held for about 20
seconds. Relief often occurs quickly for about 90 percent of all muscle-related
pain. This therapy can be effective in reducing or eliminating pain that
is due to sprains, spasms, tension headaches and migraines.
